Change & Transformation

Shifting economic circumstances, technological advancements, an ever-evolving competitive landscape, and stringent regulatory requirements are some factors that constantly challenge the status quo. Delaying change or relying on temporary workarounds is not a sustainable strategy.

 

True success hinges on embracing change across the key 'change subjects': (1) Data; (2) Technology; and (3) Operating Model. Proactive change will help businesses to not only remain relevant but to stay ahead of the curve.  

Data is the new oil. Regulatory changes, new technologies, and shifting customer expectations are some factors that are re-shaping data requirements. In response, firms may need to enhance data governance frameworks, implement more robust customer data management systems, or invest in data analytics and AI capabilities.

My Approach​

I support clients along the end-to-end transformation lifecycle, which I summarise in 2 key phases:

​Phase 1: Strategy & Shaping. This initial phase consists of performing a comprehensive current and target state assessment, followed by the formulation of a detailed change blueprint. This serves as the foundation for the entire transformation program. This phase also focuses on crafting foundational project plans and delivery structures, ensuring all prerequisites are in place for a successful journey towards your strategic goals. 

 

Phase 2: Delivery & Execution. In this phase project and program management takes centre stage. Core activities cover resource allocation, risk management, performance monitoring, as well as, communication - be it internal across different stakeholder groups, or external to third parties such as regulators. This phase is where the transformation vision begins to take tangible shape, driven by precise execution and unwavering commitment to achieving your objectives.

Financial Crime Transformation

Led the development of a critical financial crime change programme across data, technology and operating model for a Tier 1 UK bank. As Program Manager, I oversaw a data transformation initiative involving customer due diligence remediation for a significant customer base spanning various sectors. This encompassed end-to-end customer outreach, digital channel development, communication strategies, and regulatory compliance.
